New Year, New Home, New Location?
When it comes to New Year’s resolutions, moving to a new house is a popular choice for some. The pull of a new career, a life by the sea, being around family or simply upsizing/downsizing – New Year’s gives people the opportunity to take stock of their lives and think of moving.
According to Property Reporter 2020 most people (in fact 40%) traditionally move within a 5-mile radius of their previous home. So Smallthorne to Milton or Wetley Rocks to Endon. Whilst those leaving the UK opt for the United States of America as the most popular destination (19.4% of brits moving to another country). Other popular destinations were 7% France, 6.3% Australia, and 5.4% moved to Germany. It will be interesting to see these statistics 12 months on after the events of COVID19 and Brexit – my goodness what a year!
